Ethical Views, Religious Views, and Acceptance of Robotic Applications: A Pilot Study

This paper reports a pilot study investigating relations of moral and religious beliefs with acceptance of specific suggested scenarios for human robot interaction (HRI) involving lifelike personal robots. Data collected via a survey that was focused upon these three classes of variables were subjected to cluster analysis, disclosing interesting prototype patterns of responses that recommend specific hypotheses for additional research.
