Integration of Case-Based and Image-Based Reasoning

We briefly review some of the related research in the area of image-based reasoning. This is followed by a discussion on how such reasoning techniques can be integrated with techniques from CBR, particularly for the purpose of building decision-support systems that rely on image data stored in a computer. The paper also includes a presentation of the role of image analysis and feature extraction techniques in imagerelated CBR application.
