Abstract:
Games of deterrence differ from classical games by specifically addressing decision problems with threshold values. The thresholds represent for each player the limit between the states of the world acceptable to him, and those which are not. This approach allows to define satisficing solutions instead of optimal solutions. This theory is applied to modeling behavior of multi-agents in the framework of a system developed for business process modeling and simulation (The RARE system). For a given set of processes, a satisficing organization is found that takes into account the constraints between people and actions they are able (or willing) to perform.
