    ICAPS 2023, the 33rd International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, was held in Prague, Czech Republic, from July 8-13, 2023.

    For 2023, ICAPS invited paper submissions related to the theory and applications of intelligent planning and scheduling technology. The papers included in this issue have been organized into four tracks — a main conference track and three special tracks, consisting of industry and applications, planning and learning, and robotics. This year, ICAPS 2023 was collocated with the International Symposium on Combinatorial Search (SoCS 2023) and the International Workshop on Planning & Scheduling for Space (IWPSS 2023).

    ICAPS 2022, the 32nd International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, will take place virtually in June 2022.

    ICAPS 2022 is part of the ICAPS conference series, the premier forum for exchanging news and research results on theory and applications of intelligent and automated planning and scheduling technology. The ICAPS 2022 program committee invites paper submissions related to automated planning and scheduling. Relevant contributions include, but are not limited to:

    • Theoretical and empirical studies of planning and scheduling problems and algorithms;
    • Novel techniques and approaches that extend the scope and scale of problems that can be solved;
    • Analytic and implemented tools supporting automated planning and scheduling; and
    • Studies of applying automated planning and scheduling technologies to significant problems with deep technical insight.

    The 2020 ICAPS conference was originally scheduled for June 14-19, 2020 in Nancy, France. The conference was rescheduled to October 26-20, 2020 at the same location. The physical conference was then cancelled, and the conference became a completely virtual even, held during the same dates.

    Th 69 papers included in this issue are those selected for presentation at ICAPS 2020 and represent the latest advances in the field of automated planning and scheduling. They have been organized into four tracks — a main conference track and four special tracks, consisting of novel applications; humans and robotics; knowledge engineering, integrated execution, and system architectures; planning and learning.

    The Twenty-Eighth International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling was held in the Aula Conference Centre on the campus of Delft University of Technology in Delft, The Netherlands.

    ICAPS 2018 invited submissions for a general track and several topical tracks — on robotics, planning and learning, operations research and novel applications. It received 220 submissions to these tracks, of which 65 (29.5 percent) were accepted. The accepted submissions from these tracks are included in the proceedings.
