Author Guidelines

You must comply with the AAAI Press Formatting Instructions for Authors, which can be found in the AAAI 2017 Author Kit. You must also fully comply with the submission instructions. If you are the corresponding author responsible for submitting your paper, you must first register for this event. Details on registering, formatting, and submitting your paper can be found in the following links:

Please do not begin the submission process until you have completely reviewed the above instructions, understand the formatting guidelines, and have read the submission instructions.

Please check your paper carefully. Unfortunately, revisions made after the paper deadline cannot be accepted.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. Has your paper been previously published, either in whole or in part?

If so, PLEASE STOP. Your paper CANNOT BE PUBLISHED.

(By checking the box, you affirm that it has not been previously published either in whole or in part.)

  2. I affirm that I have the right to submit this paper, that I have permission from all my coauthors to grant the rights given to publish the paper, that copyright to it has not been granted to any third party, and that the paper (including figures, tables, and pictures) violates no copyrights or trademarks. I understand that my paper will not be published and I may face additional more severe penalties, including legal prosecution if this affirmation is false.
  3. I have checked every page of my paper and certify that it adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the AAAI Press Formatting Instructions, which can be found in the AAAI Press Author Kit. I understand that papers that do not conform may be excluded from publication.
  4. I have read and followed either the the Word or the LaTeX version the formatting instructions for authors, and I confirm that I am using the latest version of the instructions and files found in the AAAI Author Kit.
  5. I have signed and mailed the original of the AAAI Copyright Form (included in the author kit) to AAAI (2275 East Bayshore Road, Suite 160 Palo Alto, CA 94303). I understand that my paper cannot be published if I do not submit this signed form in a timely manner.
  6. I understand that once I have completed this submission process, I will need to log back in and check to ensure that my submission is complete (that is, that all authors have been included in the metadata, a PDF has been submitted first, and a compressed archive containing all the files necessary to recreate my paper on an AAAI Press computer have been submitted). I also understand that I should NOT make a new submission if something is missing — instead I should edit this submission and/or add an additional supplementary file to this submission instead.
  7. I affirm that I am using my own legal name to submit this paper, and no pseudonyms are used for me or any other listed author on my paper.
  8. I reaffirm that I have the right to submit this paper, that I have permission from all my coauthors to grant the rights given to publish the paper, that copyright to it has not been granted to any third party, and that the paper violates no copyrights or trademarks.

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS AFFIRMATION, DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR PAPER.
