Abstract:
In this paper, the necessity of a cognitive modelling of norms has been argued. It is proposed to keep distinct the normative choice from any normlike behavior, that is that behavior which appears to correspond to norms. Such a difference is shown to be allowed only thanks to a theory of norms as a twofold object (internal, that is, mental and external, or societal).
