Date: February 22nd 2013

Dear AAAI Members,

Please join us for the AAAI Spring Symposium Series, to be held March 25-27 at Stanford University. The Spring Symposium Series is designed to bring colleagues together in an intimate forum while at the same time providing a significant gathering point for the AI community. The two and one half day format of the series allows participants to devote considerably more time to feedback and discussion than typical one-day workshops.

The titles of the eight Spring Symposia are:

Analyzing Microtext
Creativity and (Early) Cognitive Development
Data Driven Wellness: From Self-Tracking to Behavior Change
Designing Intelligent Robots: Reintegrating AI II
Lifelong Machine Learning
Shikakeology: Designing Triggers for Behavior Change
Trust and Autonomous Systems
Weakly Supervised Learning from Multimedia

Registration information and forms for the Spring Symposium are now available at http://www.aaai.org/Symposia/Spring/sss13.php. Registration is also open to all AAAI members and other interested individuals; preregistration is recommended by Friday, March 1.

AAAI has reserved a small block of rooms at two Palo Alto hotels. The cut-off dates for reserving rooms at the discounted conference rates are March 1 (Cardinal Hotel) and March 3 (Creekside Inn). Additional options are listed at http://www.stanford.edu/dept/visitorinfo/plan/lodging.html. Complete registration and hotel information is available at http://www.aaai.org/Symposia/Spring/sss13.php.

If you have any questions regarding the AAAI Symposium Series, please feel free to contact us at sss13@aaai.org. We hope to see you at Stanford in March!

Regards,

Carol Hamilton
Executive Director, AAAI
