Dear AAAI Members,

Please join us for the Seventh International AAAI Conference on Weblogs and Social Media (ICWSM 2013), to be held July 8-11, 2013 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Microsoft Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Registration is available via http://www.icwsm.org/2013/attending/registration/ and the deadline to qualify for the late registration fee is Saturday, June 8.

AAAI has reserved blocks of sleeping rooms at several Cambridge area hotels. The cut-off dates for reservations at these hotels are June 6 and 7. For further details, see http://www.icwsm.org/2013/attending/accommodation/. Please note that hotels are typically quite full in July, so make your reservations now! Reservations made after the cut-off dates are subject to availability at prevailing rates.

The ICWSM-13 program will feature keynote addresses by David Lazer (Northeastern University) on "The Challenges and Opportunities in Bridging Computer Science and Social Science in Studying Social Media" and Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg on "Visualizing Social Weather and Climate," as well as 92 full paper, poster and demo presentations. A Workshops and Tutorials program will be held on the last day of the conference, Thursday, July 11.

Five tutorials will be presented, including the following:

T1: Advanced Methods for Collecting Social Science Data in the Social Media Field (Riki Conrey)
T2: Information-Theoretic Tools for Social Media Analysis (Greg Ver Steeg and Aram Galstyan)
T3: Crisis Mapping, Citizen Sensing, and Social Media Analytics: Leveraging Citizen Roles for Crisis Response (Amit Sheth, Patrick Meier, Carlos Castillo, and Hemant Purohit)
T4: Multiple Network Models for Complex Online Social Network Analysis (Matteo Magnani and Luca Rossi)
T5: Pulse of Virtual Worlds: Behavioral Mining and SNA in Massive Online Games (Muhammad Ahmad and Jaideep Srivastava)

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with a selected focus - providing an informal setting for active exchange among researchers, developers and users on topics of current interest. The Workshop Program includes the following workshops:
