The online help is pretty readable. Start with the basic editing page that describes how to create and edit pages.
Some Heuristics for Editors
- Please be sure you preview pages you edit before you leave them to be sure the formatting is still correct
- Comment out old material or move it to a page for archived material rather than deleting old articles for good
- If you start a line with a space, PmWiki takes that to mean that it should leave the formatting alone.
- Placing a space after the cell markup "(:cell:) " causes subsequent text on that line to be treated as preformatted text.
- Ensure that (:table:) is closed with (:tableend:) and that there are no (:cell :) constructs outside of tables.
- Beware of pasting from a Mac … dashes, apostrophes and quotes appeared as ? (e.g., SVM’s became SVM?s).
- The code for a true redirect [replacing page name after ":redirect"] is:

- Tag Error: If editing a tag on a page results in an error message when you click on it:

We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Try deleting the offending tag from the page and adding a new one with variant spelling. The problem lies in changing the name of a tag after the original page is created but before saving. (I haven't seen this error in a long time - Reid Smith.)
