Alan Mackworth is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia where he holds a Canada Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and is the past-director of the UBC Laboratory for Computational Intelligence. He has served as President of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).
